As a soil and hydrology research technician at the Brooklyn College Environmental Analytical Center, I ran environmental monitoring and analytical testing, maintained quality-control procedures, and helped expand external laboratory services by roughly 30 percent. Supervising a phytoremediation research team, I guided interns through experiments that reduced lead contamination and cut soil salinity by as much as 40 percent in two months.
